About The AGT Series

AGT Series: Your Path to National Championship Golf

Six years strong, the AGT Series delivers exceptional amateur team tournaments at premier venues across the country.

Designed for golfers who love to compete — and enjoy doing it alongside a partner — the AGT Series blends serious competition with the camaraderie and energy of team golf.

Each event features competitive divisions that create a level playing field for golfers of all skill levels, paired with a stroke play Better Ball format that rewards great shots, momentum, and teamwork.

Every AGT Series event is more than a single tournament. It’s a qualifier on the #RoadtoAugusta — where strong performances move teams one step closer to a season-defining championship experience.

Tournament Format

A Format That Rewards Great Golf — Together

The AGT Series is built around a 2-Player Better Ball (Stroke Play) format — one of the most exciting and player-friendly ways to compete.

Each player plays their own ball, with the lower score on each hole counting as the team score. Momentum matters, a single great shot can swing the leaderboard fast. It’s a format that rewards teamwork, strategy, and clutch play.

To keep competition fair and meaningful, teams compete across two divisions.

Gross Division: Pure competition. No handicaps — just you, your partner, and the course.

Net Division: Players with a verifiable USGA Handicap compete for net prizes.

To preserve competitive integrity, the AGT Series uses a Gross Division Bias, meaning teams can only place in one division. Final leaderboards reflect each team’s best possible finish once the last putt drops.

Qualifiers and Prize Pools

More Than a Tournament — It’s a Path

Every AGT Series event is part of the #RoadtoAugusta giving teams the chance to compete locally while working toward the AGT Series National Championship at Big Cedar Lodge.

Teams do not have to win a local event to enter the National Championship. However, winning the Gross or Net division at any AGT Series event earns your team a 2-for-1 entry into the National Championship, making it the best way to secure your spot at a discounted rate.

Prize pools are paid out at each event, with Visa gift cards awarded to 2nd and 3rd place teams in both divisions. Optional Team Skins and Pins games add another competitive layer for those looking to raise the stakes.

The journey culminates at the AGT Series National Championship — a limited field of 40 teams, where the Gross and Net Champions each win a trip for two to the 2027 Masters in Augusta, GA
