COMBINING GOLF, TRAVEL & COMMUNITY

Our Story

It started roughly 15 years ago.

A desire to compete was always present. Golf was a newfound love. Travel was exciting. The idea of bringing all those together became intriguing and necessary.

Since 2010, Rob Maguire has been running golf events and bringing the thrill of competition to golfers of all skill levels. Matt Grubich was along every step of the way and believed camaraderie was paramount to event success. Anthony Zumpano joined the fun and leads with passion while Andy Ciszczon brings his hardworking self to the group.

Our Vision

Through countless tournaments and golf trips, the idea was born to build a golf company that was different than what currently existed. Golf events were becoming stale. Golfers are craving golf experiences and in 2019 Am Golf Trips (AGT) was created to deliver amazing golf experiences to golfers wanting more from the great game of golf. Whether it’s tournaments to bucket-list golf destinations, team competitions and qualifiers for a national championship or individual stroke play events, AGT has you covered.

AGT is not just two guys who met in college and love to play golf. Over the years we’ve picked up some talented people to help with the business, more importantly we’ve turned into great friends – mostly as they just try to keep Rob in line with his crazy golf travel dreams. We’ve learned over the years that trust is hard to come by in business and that’s why our small but mighty team is the best in the business. We’re built on trust and uniting for one common goal: create and share great golf experiences with good people and have a blast along the way. Join us on our next great golf experience and you’ll understand what we mean.

Rob Maguire – Operations
From his comfy confines in the land of 10,000 lakes, Rob orchestrates the day to day business operations of AGT. Some would say he was born to organize fun as his resume includes creating a 2v2 neighborhood basketball league in the 7th grade, starting a fantasy football league in 1994 that is still running today with the original members, to running the Intramural Cup in his college days at Augustana. Rob is a jack of all the AGT trades, but he just urns to play better golf and wishes he could hit a draw.

Matt Grubich – Partnerships
A family man when he’s not running an AGT event, Matt is often the voice of reason. Between building perfectly arranged event display tables and curating event tee gifts, Matt is focused building the AGT brand – “Look and Feel”. He’s not afraid to share his opinions and has a burning desire to make sure everyone knows about his hole in one at Kohler. Matt’s also been known to refer to himself in the 3rd person on the golf course, often in moments of frustration, that maybe even has resulted with a club toss or two.

Anthony Zumpano – Events
An accomplished player, an avid collector, and a Nike enthusiast, Anthony is a jogger wearing event field general. His love for running events has blossomed over the years and he’s not afraid of the spotlight or a microphone. Between running putting contests and recording podcasts, Anthony is usually found on the 1st tee or scorers table at our AGT events. His goal for the game of golf is to make sure everyone knows how to play faster, good or bad.

Andy Ciszczon- Social Media
Andy is the quintessential “little brother” of the AGT family. When he’s not managing the day to day social media channels he’s usually behind a camera capturing great golf memories, the man behind the podcast production scenes or using his newly acquired drone pilot license to take great fly over video footage. Andy also has a culinary degree and rumor has it that he once deconstructed a beer can chicken during a client dinner….for the client. Andy’s golf goal is to avoid putting as much as possible, that five putt back in 2017 still haunts him daily.
